Welcome to The Main Thing Podcast! Our special guest today is an empathetic entrepreneur.
Jill Scarbro is the 2022 National Small Business Person of the Year, a prestigious honor bestowed by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Having grown up in rural West Virginia with dyslexia, Jill’s need for specialized services to learn how to read shaped the trajectory of her life. This sparked her to start Bright Futures, a school for one child in her grandmother’s kitchen. She has grown that organization to become a nationally recognized therapy center for children with autism.
Jill Scarbro is a board certified behavior analyst. She is the founder of Community Autism Resources and Education Systems (CARES) and CEO of Bright Futures Learning Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a master’s in Behavior Analysis.
Jill lives in Winfield, West Virginia, where she is partner to Tim and mom to Caroline and Garrett.
Over the next 9 minutes, you will discover why Jill Scarbro is one of the wisest people I know.
